Supports Guardian/Observer, Times/Sunday Times and Telegraph 2023 appeals

LIVERPOOL, UK – February 1st, 2024 – Charities Trust, the not-for-profit processing partner for charitable giving, today announced it had processed close to £4m as part of its work in supporting some of the UK’s largest Christmas appeals:

  • The Guardian and Observer Charity Appeal
  • The Times and Sunday Times Christmas Appeal
  • The Telegraph Christmas Charity Appeal

Charities Trust provides management and donation processing services, helping to ensure that reader donations plus gift aid are distributed quickly, safely and efficiently to each appeal’s chosen charities.

Readers are provided with a range of ways to support each appeal including online donation pages and a dedicated telephone number as well as a range of payment options including credit/debit cards and PayPal.

Behind the scenes, reports and analytics help client teams track their appeal’s progress while Charities Trust’s low, not-for-profit fees ensure more gets to their charity partners.

Charities and good causes supported by the Guardian/Observer, Times/Sunday Times and Telegraph 2023 appeals included:

  • Refugee Council of Britain, Refugees at Home and the No Accommodation Network
    (The Guardian and Observer)
  • Whizz Kidz, Feeding Britain and Street Child
    (The Times and Sunday Times)
  • Race Against Dementia, RAF Benevolent Fund, Marie Curie and Go Beyond
    (The Telegraph)

"The whole Charities Trust team is incredibly proud to support such important national appeals. Our focus is always on ensuring we can process donations as quickly, safely and efficiently as possible so that the supported charities receive funds swiftly and can put the incredible generosity of readers to work.
